Simone Biles
Simone Biles won her 20th gold medal in the World Championships when Team USA captured its seventh successive world title on October 4, in Antwerp Belgium. With 33 gold medals, she has the highest number of medals in the history of gymnastics. It also includes the Olympics. A few days ago, Biles landed a highly challenging vault that no woman has ever attempted on an international arena. Biles II is now the name of the Yurchenko dual pike vault which used to be called Yurchenko. In the final of her all-around event on the 6th October, the record-breaking gymnast will take part in her very first international meet following 2021. Simone was born in Ohio, Columbus around 1997. Her birth mom struggled with a drug addiction. Simone and her three siblings were removed from the care of their home to foster care.
